GTA 6's Score Is by Justice, and It's Out Three Weeks After the Game
With under three weeks to go, the newest GTA 6 news is the music. French duo Justice have scored it, and the album lands on the 11th of December.

GTA 6 is out in under three weeks, and the biggest thing Rockstar has told us this week is who’s doing the music. It’s Justice, and honestly, that’s a good shout.
Rockstar and Justice announced it on the 29th of October. Justice are the French duo Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, and the original score album is out on the 11th of December through Because Music, Ed Banger and Rockstar. That’s three weeks after the game. It has 30 tracks plus some digital bonus tracks, on 2xCD and 3xLP, including a limited crystal clear version if you’ve got a record player and money left over after buying GTA 6.
There’s a single out already, “Pusher”, with Gesaffelstein on it.
Why the score is interesting
This isn’t a list of songs that plays while you drive. The press release describes the score as “dynamically tuned to game events as they unfold”, which basically means the music follows what you’re doing. Xavier de Rosnay said they were given the freedom to try a lot of things, and that’s about as much as anyone has said about how it works.
Don’t mix this up with Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which is a separate thing. That one is new songs from artists including PinkPantheress and Travis Scott, and it comes out the same day as the game.
Where everything else stands
The game is due on the 19th of November on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. The launch trailer went out on the 15th of October. Take-Two reports its results on the 9th of November, which is expected to be the last big investor update before launch, so if there’s a pre-order number coming, that’s the likely place. Nobody has promised one.
If you were planning on a boxed copy, remember what’s in it. The physical edition is a download code in a box and not a disc, and those go on sale on the 12th of November, the same day digital pre-loading starts. So you can queue up for the box if you want, but you’ll still be downloading the game.
What I think
Three weeks out, a game this size doesn’t need to tell you much, and Rockstar isn’t. Most of what’s left is music and a box with no disc in it.
I’m coming at this from Forza, so what I want to know is how the cars feel, and nobody outside Rockstar can answer that yet. But if you’re going to spend a lot of time driving around Vice City, I’d say it’s no harm that the people doing the music are good at it.
Lovely shtuff lad.
